Basketball

Jacob was REALLY happy when he was chosen to play on the A team for Bilbray Basketball.  The tryouts were grueling as they cut 60 boys down to 24 and then only took 15 from those kids.  Jacob was seriously nervous and worried he wouldn't get chosen but he did and was super excited to be on the competition team.  They had practices every week, sometimes twice a week, and games almost every Tuesday.  It was an exciting season for Jacob who got to play with his friends and other boys from church, some of who were on opposing teams!  He was a great defender and always showed good sportsmanship.  Go patriots!!

Baili

Baili has decided she doesn't want me to take any more pictures of her!!!  ummmm, not gonna happen but she has managed to divert most of my pictures so far this year.  I actually asked her if she could send me a picture of herself just so I had one and she sent me this....PEACE??  Well she could keep the peace if she would let me take some pictures of her......
She is a beauty though isn't she?

ZYCS & Homeward Bound

This is the only picture I was able to get from Baili's performance this year.  She was SUPER tired by the time they got done with their second performance so we just headed straight home.  As last season their performance was truly magnificent and impressive.  They had so much talent between the choir and the orchestra.  The music was moving as they sang about family and home life.  It was really really good.  My friend Leslie also came with us.

Annual walk to church day

About three years ago, our Bishop challenged the ward to "walk to church" rather than taking our cars.  Its just starting to heat up in Vegas when the sunday comes around so its definitly a little sacrifice to walk the little way to church.  For us, its not that far but for some people in the ward its quite a walk.  Everyone tries to be prepared with walking shoes and extra water.  By the time church is over, the last thing we want to do is walk home although we always feel good about the challenge.  This year Baili had an early meeting so she walked with her friend Jenna.  It was a pretty day and reminds us to appreciate what we have when were driving in our air conditioned car!  "The poor pioneers" is usally what crosses my mind during the walk....

Idaho Roadtrip

For spring break, Mandy's family and us decided to take a quick trip up to Idaho to hang out with Trudi & Tyler.  We stopped into Salt Lake City and met Scott for lunch.

Little mermaid play

Every year our stake does a play with the youth.  Last year Baili was part of it but this year she was in Zions Youth Symphony and it was too much to do both.  They did The Little Mermaid and Kami and her friend were so excited to go see it.  It was a really good production, great costuming & sets as well as awesome singing and acting..... Here are some pictures with some of the cast, Kami's favorite ones.

183rd General Conference

We always love general conference time.   Being together as a family and listening to the general authorities of the church is a great tradition.  The kids love the candy tins with topics they may hear during the talks.....it helps them focus and listen for the words and get a piece of candy everytime they hear the words on the tins. We also always take out the "conference tent" and the kids sit or lie in it to color or listen to the talks.
