The Sunderlands

We just love this family!  Ever since college, Selena has been like family to me.  Now when our kids get together they love hanging out, dancing, swimming in the pool, playing in the snow, drawing, wrestling, sharing talents, eating at buffets....they dont care as long as theyre doing it together.

They laugh like dolphins.....

I taught Jacobs class at church today!  I think he was happy to have me there.  There were only these four boys so after the lesson, I took some pictures.  They got a little crazy as we went on.  Jacob has good friends and for that I am thankful!

The pursuit of order

We have a plan, as we have the end of every school year, to be organized going into summer break.  I bought a big white board so we could put our weekly schedule on there for everyone to see.  The kids give me such a hard time about teaching at the gym.  They dont realize I only teach when they are at school but when theyre not in school, I still have to teach.  They get so annoyed when I leave but if they have playdates they dont even notice!   Heres hoping for a super exciting, ORGANIZED summer.

Denzel

Love this guy!  The first time I met Denzel, he came on a canoe trip with the youth a couple of years ago that I was on.  He was friends with one of my young women.  He was always impressed with the church and the people, he was friends with a handful of our youth.  A couple of years later, he visited church and after a young mens lesson, approached our bishop and asked how he could serve a mission for the church.  He started meeting with the missionaries, got baptized and went off to Cedar City for college.  Just over a year now since he was baptized is heading off on his mission to Guam.  We are so proud of this kid.  He has a burning testimony of the gospel and such a desire to share it and bless the lives of others.  He is a true example to our boys, and our girls and we just love him to pieces.

Bike Training

Jacob and the 11 year old scouts are training for a 50 mile bike ride with their leaders, Brother & Sister Winder.  This was their first 10 mile ride.

Wet N Wild

Years ago Las Vegas had a Wet N Wild water park.  Sam and I bought season passes and loved it.  Baili was a little baby but we went quite often.  A few times, my Mam came with us and it was always fun.  They shut it down because they had only leased the land from the Sahara Casino on Las Vegas Blvd.
Well, this year they reopened.  They built it far on the southwest side of town and we were getting tickets!!!!
The kids decided if we were gonna get season passes they would start selling stuff.  We had a garage sale and sold a lot of stuff on the online garage sale.  They did without treats and other things to save the money they would normally spend, for the Wet N Wild tickets.
Opening weekend was a big let down.... We started out, all excited to play for the day in the water and before we were even half way there, our friends, the Hancocks called and said they had closed the park off because it was so full!  I guess Vegas was REALLY ready for a water park.
The following Tuesday, both Sarah Hanock and I took our kids out of school (oh yes we did) and were FIRST in line at the gates when they opened.  The kids were so excited *see their faces* and we had an awesome time.  Weve been back many times and love it.
