Baili performs with ZYSC at Smith Center

We are constantly impressed with Baili and the things she devotes her time to.  She and her good friend, Emma Dickinson got to sing and perform with the Zions Youth Symphony & Choir at the new built, Smith Center.  What an amazing experience this was for Baili.  The had one intense week of practices while Sam and I were in Cancun, then a beautiful performance Sunday were they did two shows for the public.  We are so proud of our little girl.  She said she loved every minute of practice and performing and as you can tell from the last picture, might have had a little energy to spare by the time the final show was done....

Baili's Fall Orchestra Performance

Baili has become a really good cello player. She only started learning in middle school last year and this year tested for Advanced Orchestra.  She is dedicated and takes home her instrument quite often from school to practice.  I think because she already plays piano, she can learn the second instrument a little easier.  She loves music and is very talented.  Here's some pictures of her after the performance with her best friends who play violin in the orchestra

you can check out video of the performance by clicking this link

Cadwallader Awards Night

And she is pretty amazing!  Baili got this award at the Cadwallader Awards night for excellence in computer class.  Her teacher texted me this after the ceremony.  "Baili is great with the computer and has a great work ethic.  She has a good attitude and I was impressed with how kind she was when I asked her to take a new student to lunch with her.  She was happy to take her under her wing.  I really appreciated that."
Baili loves creating movies and pictures on the computer and has learned how to type and use computer programs.
We're so proud of Baili and how she has excelled in middle school.  She's worked hard in Math and Science, two of her harder subjects (she is definitely more of a right brained girlie!) and she has learned to play cello this year, moving to advanced orchestra for next year.

Birthday Roadtrip

Look how cute these girls are! Baili took three of her friends to St. George to celebrate her birthday with her. We have a family rule of no sleep overs but made a slight adjustment for such a special birthday. Baili planned this for months and was sooooooo excited to stay overnight, hanging out and playing together. We swam at the hotel, ate dinner, shopped till we dropped, did our own manicures and stopped into the temple grounds. When we got back to Vegas all of Baili's friends came over for a party. She is seriously the cutest thing ever....I love her so much. Watching her grow and develop into her own person makes me so proud of her.
Happy Birthday sweetie!

Itching to get into Young Women

The Young Women had a wedding themed mother and daughter activity last week, and look who crashed the party. Baili can hardly stand waiting to turn 12 so she can come to young women activities. Here are pictures of her and her friend, Alexandra in wedding dresses. The guy in the last picture is a life sized board that one of the leaders brought as a joke for the girls to take "wedding" pics with their prince charming....lol

Looky Here ....

I opened up my camera to find a little photo shoot that Baili and Kami had unknown to me, owner of the expensive camera. Must be nice.....gotta get these kids busy doing chores!
Just joking.....its very cute! Note the crossed feet in the bottom center and how she posed Kami in front of the little mermaid backdrop. Baili is very artistic.

One Year Older & wishing she was 12

Baili cannot wait to be twelve so she can come into young womens at church and be part of the fun things that the youth get to do. But this year she would have to be happy turning 11...which she was!
I can't believe my first baby is getting so old and grown up. Baili has always been a beautiful, intelligent and fun girl but she is also becoming a very cute, sweet and helpful young lady.
This year Baili wanted to have a lot of her girlfriends come over for a party, so......we had lots of girl power at our house December 3rd. Baili had planned the whole party, from food to games. She got so many fun gifts and gift cards. She is still shopping with her Birthday money....haha!
